Privacy Policy

At Ok Good Yes, we believe your fitness data should be yours. This privacy policy explains what we collect, why, and who can see it, whether you use the app on its own or sign in to sync and train with friends.

Using the app without an account

Without an account, Ok Good Yes stores nothing on our servers. Your workouts, body weight and statistics stay on your device.

With an account

If you sign in (with Apple, Google or email), we store the following on our servers so your data is backed up, syncs between your devices, and works with friends and competitions:

• Your account details: email address and display name.
• Your training: the sets you log (exercise, weight, reps, date) and your body weight entries.
• Your friends list, the competitions you create or join, your goal weight in a competition, and the reactions you give.
• A device token for push notifications, if you allow notifications.

Sign-in is provided by Firebase Authentication (Google). Push notifications are delivered by Firebase Cloud Messaging. Our servers run on Google Cloud, and data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon.

Who can see your data

• Friends: people you add as friends can see your logged sets and body weight entries, for example on your log in the app.
• Competitions: members of a competition you join can see your name, your progress in it (lifts or weigh-ins), and your goal weight if you set one.

Nobody else can see your data. You can remove friends and leave competitions at any time.

Apple Health

If you turn on Apple Health in Settings, Ok Good Yes reads your body weight from Health so weigh-ins from a smart scale appear in the app, and saves your training sessions to Health as workouts. A weight read from Health is treated like one you entered yourself: it is stored in the app, synced if you have an account, and visible to friends and competition members as described above. Health data is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with anyone else. You can turn this off in Settings or in the Health app at any time.

What we don't do

We don't show ads, use tracking scripts or third-party analytics, or sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or any commercial purpose.

Deleting your data

You can delete every set you've logged, or your whole account, in the app under Settings. Deleting your account removes your data from our servers and your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
